Teach Appreciation Week
We have amazing educators, administrators and staff who teach, guide, and inspire our students each and every day at ASH! In 2024, Albany School of Humanities was honored by the National Association of Elementary and Secondary Education Act State Program Administrators for biggest growth in the state of New York in Math and English testing; one of only 100 schools in the nation to receive this distinction. We hope you will volunteer this year to show our amazing teachers how grateful we are for them. There are many ways to get involved. Spring Flower Sale Fundraiser Deadline
Our Spring Flower Sale is starting April 27th and running through May 15th. Information and order forms will be sent home with students. Purchases can also be made online. See Shop tab above.
Flowers available are geraniums and Gerber daisies, as well as mixed variety 12” potted arrangements both potted and hanging. We will have vegetable starts available for sale at pick up as well.
Flowers will be ready for pick up on the basketball court behind the school on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 after school!

Attention all Whos! Seussical is coming to ASH!
ASH students from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will be performing Seussical Jr. Join us as and watch the Performance Center turns into the Jungle of Nool!

Albany School of Humanities Black History Month Centennial Celebration
Join us for an evening of culture, community, and celebration as the Albany School of Humanities honors Black History Month during our Centennial Celebration!
Movie Night
Join us for a relaxing Movie Night at ASH! Free entry for ASH Families and free popcorn, for each attendee! Join us for a movie in the Performing Arts Center starting at 5:30pm. Please enter through the rotunda. Jammies, stuffies and blankets and pillows are encouraged. Pizza and concessions will be available for sale. The PTA Concession stand excepts all forms of payment including: major credit cards, paypal, and cash app.

Monday, September 22, 2025 is the last day to play your flower orders! Make sure to send your order forms in with your student or purchase your flowers here on our site in our Shop! Pick up will be Thursday September 25, from 2:45pm-5:30pm on the basketball court. 40% of the sales we make get donated back to the PTA! Please purchase your flowers and share with family and friends!

Join us for Volunteer Orientation! RSVP for a 30 minute slot during parent teacher conferences, on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Garden Clean Up
Join to ready our garden beds for the winter and next spring. Please bring your own glove and hand tools if you like. Yard bags will be provided. Interesting in creating a Gardening Club? Parents are welcome to attend and share ideas to form a garden club.

Join us at Ridgefield Park, 316 Partridge Street in Albany, for our first Playground Meet Up! Saturday October 5, 2024 10am-12pm. All ASH Students and Families are invited to attend. Snacks and juice provided. Please remember to bring water!
Summer Movie Night
The ASH PTA invites you to a Summer Movie Night, Monday August 26, 2024 at 5:30pm. We will be screening “IF” at the Albany School of Humanities Performance Center (through the rotunda entrance) 108 Whitehall Road, Albany NY 12209. Movie begins at 5:30pm. Admission and Popcorn are free. Concessions will be available for sale. Families are encourage to bring blankets to snuggle with on the floor of thevPerformance Center. Movie night is a great opportunity for new students to meet their classmates and returning students to reconnect. We hope you will join us!
